Description
This is Prairie Smoke (geum triflorum), also call Old Mans' Whiskers due to the fuzzy exterior of the bloom. It has certain medicinal properties and was used by the Plateau Indians as a treatment for tuberculosis. The deep coral pink flowers are quite strikingly beautiful. Taken with a Fujifilm S7000 set on macro.
