Castilleja chromosa, This early Indian Paintbrush (Native) Perennial displays bright, scarlet-red bracts and blooms in the spring. It is distributed throughout the eastern Rockies from valley floors to foothills on dry open sites. Can also be found with pink flowers.

Tracey Vivar is a freelance photographer originally from New York City.
