Description
Camas (camassia quamash) was and is a very significant plant to the Native Americans due to its' medicinal properties and edible roots. It is said to have played a large part in the survival of the Lewis & Clark expedition. The bulbs can be boiled or roasted and taste similar to sweet potatoes. When dried, the roots may be ground into a flour. Taken with a Fujifilm S7000 set on macro.
