Description
A double waterfall, surrounded by layers of rock is the focal point of this scene. Evergreen trees frame the falling water which descends into Two Medicine Creek. These falls are also known as Trick Falls due to the disappearance of the larger falls in dry weather. These falls were named for a Blackfeet warrior woman, Pitamahkaan, or Running Eagle, who was known for her bravery and good medicine in battle. She was the only Blackfeet woman to have gone on a vision quest, and it was here, at these falls, where she undertook that vision quest.
